Thanks to everyone who came out for Discovery Day in Burnaby especially to the girls who volunteered to face paint, act in the Mascot (Art Centre) costume, give out programs, inflate balloons and so much more!
Congratulations to our parade group! They have taken first in their category in the Ladner Pioneer May Day Parade, third in the Richmond Salmon Festival Canada Day Parade.
Come out and join us at the Tsawwassen Sun Festival Parade on Aug 2.
Our Hollyburn Chalet needs your help. Work Parties will probably be on Aug 28 and Sept 18. The usual tasks are painting, bush clearing, cleaning, wood stacking etc. Dates are tentative and depend on the availablity of trucks and wood. The work parties scheduled for July have been cancelled. Email Shelley at smreid50@telus.net if you can help and to confirm dates. Pathfinders and Rangers are welcome too. Who wouldn't love a nice day on the mountain among friends!

Let's Camp S'more
Camp Olave Management Committee (Lions Area and West Coast Area) invites your patrol to Let's Camp S'more. This is a great opportunity for newer Guides and their Guiders to learn some basic camping skills. Camp will be October 22 – 24, 2010 at Camp Olave. We will be sleeping in the cabins (Kwi Kwa, Hideaway, Brock and Ranger) and doing the program work outside at Galalina.
Guiders will stay with their patrol and assist with the camp.
Thank you to everyone on the Sunshine Coast and beyond for your support of Camp Olave.
We are deeply grateful to everyone who bought our cookies, supported our campsite and assisted us with the whole tax situation. Thank you to all our girls, Guiders, parents and friends and thank you to the District of Sechelt for helping us solve the tax situation for this year.
Camp Olave has been serving the girls of BC for over 80 years.
