West Coast Area is pleased to offer many bursaries and awards to help our girls and women further their education. Now is the time to apply! We thank all those who have donated or left us funds and helped to sell our cookies. We encourage all eligible members of our area to apply. Application forms are below or ask your District Commissioner or email awardswestcoastarea@gmail.com.

West Coast Area Bursaries and Educational Awards for Girls and Guiders
The Bertha Brandreth Award - This award is for a girl living in the City of Vancouver and aged 13 - 18 who has a Guiding or Educational objective. Berta Brandreth pdf or Bertha Brandeth word version.
 Beatrice Malkin Performing Arts Award - This award is for a girl registered in a Brownie, Guide, Pathfinder or Ranger Unit in the City of Vancouver (including UBC). Beatrice Malkin pdf or Beatrice Malkin word version.
Elizabeth Rogers Trust Scholarship - A scholarship is offered to members of West Coast Area Girl Guides through UBC. Visit the UBC webpage for details and UBC's Affiliation application form.
Click here. Applicants must be active members of the Girl Guides movement in Vancouver (including UBC), Richmond, or Burnaby and be enrolled in a full program of studies leading to a degree. Academic standing is considered together with interest in Girl Guide activities. Winners are selected by the University in consultation with the West Coast Area Girl Guides Area Council.
The Jennifer Menendez Education Grant - This award is in memory of Jennifer and is given to a member between the ages of 16 - 25 years who is registered in Guiding in Richmond, Ladner or Tsawwassen. Jennifer Menendez pdf or Jennifer Menendez word version.
