Link is a great way to spend time with other like minded young adults. |
Link is for women aged 18 to 30 who are interested in staying involved and connected with Guiding, even if they don't currently have time to be active in a Guiding unit. ![]() This summer we met with a visiting group from the UK. They were here on a National centenary event organized by the UK Girl Guides. It was made up of girls and women between the ages of 16 to 25 years old along with two Guiders. Their trip was called Ultimate British Columbia: The Mackenzie Trail. Sadly, their hiking on the Mackenzie Trail was cut sort due to forest fires and they had to be flown out. What an adventure!
Link is usually not the only way we stay involved with Guiding - many of us are unit leaders, council or committee members, or hold another position in Guiding. We stay in Link because we like to spend time and interact with other Guiding members of similar age, stage in life, and interests, and because they are the women we have grown up with through Guiding. ![]() Some of our Link members at the AGM At a general Link meeting we chat about our lives, plan fun and interesting outings (hiking, retreats, photo scavenger hunt, murder mystery dinner party) and work on various challenges. Each Link group is unique in when and where they meet up and how often. Link Connections is a news letter for Link Members. If you are member of Guiding check out past copies on Member Zone at
